This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
what was your process for painting these nids? Im building on my nid army that has a bleach bone exoskeleton and a hawk turquoise highlight on the armor. you've done the washes and highlights so beautifully. you should really consider trying to get your army to appear in one of the next versions of the codex!
My process was actually quite simple but the techniques can be advance. The washing isn't too bad, however, they did discontinue the amazing Flesh Wash ink... Which was very unfortunate for my scheme.
I started with a White basecoat, since on white, all colors stand out much nicer. Best done with a spray from Games Workshop, or anywhere less rip-offy
The first coat after the white primer would be Bubonic brown. Water it down a bit (30-40% water), GW paints are fairly thick. After that, the entire thing was carefully brushed with Flesh Wash with a little soap water added to reduce surface tension. Then highlighting from bubonic brown adding a little bit of white, after 2 or 3 layers bleached bone was added. Add less and less paint per layer, to show the shading (Darker in the crevices).
I believe thats my full trick to the exoskeleton. I'm gonna need to pick my brushes back up soon.
Damnit, you are entirely too young to be this skilled at miniature painting!
In all seriousness, I've actually brought people over from their work in the studio to the computer to show them your stuff on DA! You've impressed a whole bunch of illustration students
